Day #24 – A Lot of Road Miles
Today I ran 16 in the morning and 8 in the evening. This week I ran over 148 miles. That just seems nuts to me, and is well and above anything I have ever done before, including college when I used to actually run crazy mileage. There are now only 7 days left to the challenge, about 196 miles.

Day #23 – Trail Running at Bradbury Mountain
Today I hit the trails at Bradbury Mountain for 3 hours, but decided to finish the last 7½ miles on the roads because I didn’t want to spend another 2 hours running (and instead just spent 1 hour getting those last few miles in.)

Day #22 – No Evening Run Necessary – YAY!
I ran over 16 miles this morning and about 10 kilometers at lunch, which means I get the evening off from running. I expect this is a rare treat that won’t be repeated next week, at least on business days.

Day #21 – The Highest Number of Miles I’ve Ever Run in a Week
After a little excitement with some dogs on this mornings 12 miler, I got in some easy miles at lunchtime and then set a new personal high for number of miles run in a 7 day period while doing hill repeats with the folks I coach.

Day #20 – Almost Got Hit By a Car
This morning I heard plows after getting up at 4:45, so I hit the gym to use the treadmill for 14 miles before work.
That left 6 to run after I got home in order to run my 20 miles on the day.

Day #19 – More Snow but More Fun
More snow today, but I enjoyed my runs much more and got over last night’s funk. I split my miles today into 3 runs, 9, 6 and 4. I also managed to get a little shoveling in after the final run, around 9 o’clock at night.

Day #18 – Today it Got Hard (and last week’s winners)
Today was difficult. I was tired and there was a lot of snow. At least I was able to choose the winners of the Ice Spikes from last week’s contest; watch the video to see if you won.

Day #17 – Unhappy Shepherds, No Hamstring Problems, Good Food
This morning I intended to run 12 miles, and I did, but I had to change my loop around a bit from the original plan. The first 4 miles were with Erin, and then I planned on running 3.5 out and back and then the final mile on the roads. After getting chased by 3 [...]

Day #16 – Hamstring Woes and Bradbury Mountain
Hamstring woes are starting to set in, beginning at last night’s hockey game. The leg felt great during today’s 16 miler out at Bradbury Mountain, though. Hopefully it doesn’t sideline me before the end of this challenge, so I’ll have to pay close attention to it.

Day #15 – The Happy Birthday 15 Miler
This morning’s run was great. The past few days my morning run has been in the single digits, starting around 3 or 4 degrees fahrenheit. Today, it was calm and warm, with temperatures in the high 20s. I got all 15 miles in before work so I’m free to enjoy tonight’s hockey game without worrying about getting more distance in.
